Megaglo highlighting powder by Wet n Wild

The new Wet n Wild stuff has finally arrived at my local Walmart and, it feels like Christmas - haha. I've been waiting to get my hands on these new releases for so long! The drugstore has stepped up their game in the highlighter department over the past year. Now, almost every brands carry their own but, the one who was all over YouTube and even had Jeffree Star rave about was Wet n Wild's Megaglo Highlighting Powders. 

Les nouveautés printanières de Wet n Wild sont enfin arrivé chez Walmart et je me sens comme un enfant le jour de Noel - haha. J'attendais leur sorti depuis si longtemps! Le département des illuminateurs s'est agrandit chez les compagnie cosmétiques de pharmacie au cours de la dernière année. Maintenant, presque toutes les marques en ont, mais celui qui était partout sur YouTube et qui a gagné l'acclame de Jeffree Star est la poudre illuminatrice Mégaglo de Wet n Wild.

Megaglo highlighting powder by Wet n Wild in Blossom Glow

The packaging is typical of Wet n Wild: simple and nothing too fancy. They come in seven shades but, there was only two available at Walmart, Blossom Glow and Crown of my Canopy - which is too dark for me. Blossom Glow is a warm light pink with micro glitters. The modulable, smooth and buttery texture blends like a dream on the skin.

L'emballage est typique de Wet n Wild: simple et rien de trop chic. Ils viennent en sept nuances mais, il n'y avait que deux disponibles au Walmart, Blossom Glow et Crown of my Canopy - qui est trop foncé pour moi. Blossom Glow est un rose clair chaud avec des micro-paillettes. La texture est modulable, lisse et crémeuse se fond bien sur la peau. 

When I first swatched the highlighter, I was kinda let down. I though it would be more blinding - as seen on YouTube - but, it was just a sheen. Then, I tried it on my face with a brush and...that's what we're talking about! It was a lot more luminous but, still not blinding - unless you use it wet. Perfect for all those glow-lovers on a budget!

Quand j'ai cet illuminateur pour la première fois, j'étais un peu déçu. Je pensais que ce serait plus intense mais, c'était juste un subtile glow, assez naturel. Ensuite, je l'ai essayé sur mon visage avec un pinceau et...voilà! C'était beaucoup plus lumineux mais, toujours pas intense - à moins que vous l'utilisiez wet. Parfait pour tous ces 'glow-lovers' sur un budget!

Androgyny eye shadow palette by Jeffree Star Cosmetics

After testing - and falling in love - with JSC's Velours liquid lipsticks, I decided to try something else from his cosmetic line. Today, I'm coming back with the Androgyny eye shadow palette! I've had my eyes on this palette ever since I walked into Eleganza last fall to check out the liquid lipsticks. This palette is like nothing I own. It's colorful but, toned down and not too bright. 

Après avoir testé - et adoré - les rouges à lèvres liquides Velours de JSC, j'ai décidé d'essayer quelque chose d'autre de sa ligne de cosmétiques. Aujourd'hui, je vous reviens avec la palette d'ombre à paupières Androgyny! J'avais un oeil sur cette palette depuis que je suis entré chez Eleganza l'automne dernier pour jeté un oeil au les rouges à lèvres liquides. Cette palette est comme rien que je possède. Elle est coloré mais, les tons sont atténués et pas trop vifs.

I was impressed by the size of the pans (3.5 cm X 3.5 cm) which is bigger than most eye shadows from other brands. You won't hit pan the first time you dip in with this one! The palette contain three different eye shadow finishes: six mattes, two shimmers and two satins. The mattes are very smooth and easy to blend. The only shade I had a little trouble with was Military but, nothing I couldn't fix. The texture of the shimmer shades reminds me of the Skin Frosts highlighters from JSC; they are buttery and almost feels like a cream. The satin shades (Charm and Fetish) blends to a matte finish despite the little shimmers you see in the pan. 

J'ai été impressionné par la taille des fards (3,5 cm x 3,5 cm) qui est plus grande que la plupart des ombres à paupières d'autres marques. Vous ne toucherez pas le fond la première fois que vous l'utiliser avec celle-ci! La palette contient trois finis de fards différents: six mattes, deux irisés et deux satinés. Les fards mattes sont très smooth et faciles à estomper. Le seul fards avec lequel j'ai eu un peu de problème était Military, mais rien que je ne pouvais arranger. La texture des fards irisés me rappelle les illuminateurs Skin Frosts de JSC; ils ont presque la texture d'un fards crème. Les fards satinées (Charm et Fetish) s'estompent en finit matte malgré les petits reflets que vous voyez dans les fards.

Safe Word: Matte cool tone taupe. / Taupe mat au ton froid. 

Charm: Satin tangerine. / Tangerine avec fini satiné.

Déjà Vu: Shimmery deep copper. / Cuivre foncé irisé.

Dominatrix: Matte warm tone brown. / Brun mat chaud.

Androgyny: Matte deep mauve. / Mauve foncé mat.

Fetish: Satin deep red with pink reflects. / Rouge foncé satiné avec reflets rose.

Military: Matte light olive green with yellow undertone. / Olive pâle avec un sous ton jaune mat. 

Poison: Matte teal. / Bleu sarcelle mat. 

Swallow: Matte deep cyan blue. / Bleu cyan foncé mat.

After playing for a little over a week with this palette, I can say it became one of my favorites. You can create so many looks with it! I don't have a tons of colorful mattes in my collection - they aren't easy to find - so it's a good addition. Next step: the Skin frosts!

Après avoir joué pendant un peu plus d'une semaine avec cette palette, je peux dire que c'est devenu l'un de mes préférés. Vous pouvez créer une tonne de looks avec! Je n'ai pas beaucoup de fards mats colorées dans ma collection - ils ne sont pas faciles à trouver - donc c'est une bonne addition. Prochaine étape: les Skin Frosts!

Volume Stylist mascara by Essence

As recommended by Tati (Glamlifeguru on YT), I picked up the Volume Stylist mascara by Essence. I don't dive often into that brand although everything I've tried from them in the past, I loved. (Try their Make Me Brow eyebrow gel or Satin Touch blushes.) The Volume Stylist claims to be a lash extension mascara with lengthening fibers with promise of volume and length for eighteen hours.

Recommandé par Tati (Glamlifeguru sur YT), j'ai acheter le mascara Volume Stylist de Essence. Je de m'aventure pas souvent dans cette marque malgré que tout ce que j'ai essayé, j'ai aimé. (Essayez leur gel à sourcils Make Me Brow et blush Satin Touch.) Le Volume Stylist est un mascara d’extensions de cils avec des fibres allongeant qui promet du volume et longueur pendant dix-huit heures.

The smooth, matte packaging ressembles kids makeup - very cheap looking - just like the rest of the brand's packagings. The brush is made of synthetic bristles and has the shape of an inverted hourglass (it is thicker in the middle). The bristles are quite short and very spaced out. 

Le packaging lisse et mat me rappelle le maquillage pour enfants - très cheap à l'oeil - tout comme les autre packagings des produits de la marque. La brosse est faite de poils synthétiques et a la forme d'un sablier inversé (plus épais au milieu). Les poils sont assez courts et espacés. 

The formula is dry and clumps easily. With the spaced out bristles, you would've guessed a lot of product would come out but it's not the case.You have to be quick when applying or else you'll end up with clump-kingdom on your lashes. I like the look it gives to my lashes - lots of volume and length - but, I could do without the clumps. Although it claimed to have fibers, I didn't see any... When my mascara was drying, a few flakes fell on my face and I'm not about that life. 

La formule est sèche et fait facilement des paquets. Avec ses poils espacés. tu aurais pensé que beaucoup de produit sortirait du tube quand on l'utilise, mais ce n'est pas le cas. Tu dois être rapide pour l'appliquer ou tu vas finir avec le royaume des paquets sur tes cils. J'ai me bien le look qu'il donne à mes cils - beaucoup de volume et longueur - mais, je pourrais me passer des paquets. Bien qu'il dit contenir des petites fibres, j'en ai pas vu... Quand mon mascara était en train de sécher, il s'effritait un peux sur mon visage et, je sais pas pour vous mais moi, j'ai pas le temps avec ces choses là.

Volum' Express Colossal Big Shot mascara by Maybelline

I haven't tested a new mascara in ages. I have been eyeing this mascara for a moment. With its boujee gold packaging, it's difficult to miss it in the aisles! The Big Shot was a part of Maybelline's 2017 spring releases but,  with all the new launches here and there in the beauty world, it's difficult to try everything right away. There's too many! What I love about testing mascaras is that, generally, you get a pretty good idea whether you like it or not with one to three uses. It's hot or a flop. We also all have different lashes and formula/wand preferences. If a certain mascara works on you and give you amazing lashes, it won't necessarily be the case for everyone. 

Ça fait très longtemps que je n'ai pas testé de mascara. J'avais un oeil sur celui-ci depuis un moment. Avec son packaging or - très boujee -, c'est difficile de passé inaperçue dans les pharmacies. Le Big Shot faisait partie de la collection de printemps 2017 de Maybelline mais, avec toutes ces nouveautés dans le monde des cosmétiques, c'est difficile de tout essayer. Il y en a trop! Ce que j'aimes des mascaras c'est que, généralement, tu as une bonne idée s'il fonctionne ou non après une à trois usages. Ça passe ou ça casse. Cependant, nous avons tous des cils différents et des formules/brosse préférés. Si un certain mascara vous donne des cils de fou, ce ne sera peut-être pas le cas pour tous le monde.

In the past, I've rarely been let down by a Maybelline mascaras - except the Mega Plush, get this away from me! Their formula is always amazing. The Big Shot claims to give root-to-tip volume in one coat. The wand is thin and has a bit of a conical shape with synthetic bristles.

Par le passé, j'ai rarement été déçu par les mascaras de Maybelline - sauf le Mega Plush, éloigner ça de moi! J'adore leur formule. Le Big Shot promet de donner du volume de la racine au pointes en une seule couche. La brosse est mince et a une forme un peu en cône avec des poils synthétique.

Just like their previous mascaras, this one isn't a flop. It gave me a lot of volume and even some length. My lashed looked very full at the roots and my bottom lashes were popping. The brush picks up a lot of product so be careful, it can get clumpy pretty fast! The formula is a bit dry but, at the end of the day, nothing had flaked.

Tout comme leurs mascaras précédents, celui-ci n'est pas un flop. Il m'a donné beaucoup de volume et même un peu de longueur. Mes cils avait l'air très fournis à la racine et mes cils inférieurs étaient plutôt long. La brosse contient beaucoup de produit donc, soyez prudents, ça peut devenir clumpy assez rapidement! La formule est un peu sèche mais, à la fin de la journée, rien ne s'était effrité.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics's Velour liquid lipsticks

Back in October, Jeffree Star Cosmetics arrived in Canada in Eleganza stores and, let me tell you, it was a very exciting moment. No need to pay for annoying shipping and you can swatch them before buying. If you're from the Scene/MySpace era, you've probably heard of Jeffree Star way before he launched his cosmetic line. He used to tour with bands on Warped Tour and released music back in 2009. Every scene kids knew about him, no exceptions. In 2014, the firsts Velour liquid lipstick launched and ever since, people are raving about them. Three years later, I decided to jump on the band wagon to see what the hype is about.

En Octobre dernier, Jeffree Star Cosmetics est arrivé au Canada dans les boutiques Éléganza et, laissez-moi vous dire, c'était un grand moment. Plus besoin de payer de frais de transport et tu peux tout swatcher avant d'acheter. Si vous étiez present sur MySpace, vous avez probable ment déjà entendu parler de Jeffree Star avant qu'il lance sa ligne de cosmétique. Il a fait parti du Warped Tour pendant quelques années et a sorti de la musique en 2009. Tous les scene kids le connaissait, sans exception. En 2014, les premiers rouge à lèvres liquide Velours sont sorti et depuis, tous le monde les adorent. Trois ans plus tard, j'ai décidé de les essayer.

Although I am not a huge fan of the color pink, I find the packaging very sleek and unique. The rose gold lettering and stars with the bright pink cap (throwback to Jeffree's iconic pink hair) definitely stands out in a makeup collection. The whole line is cruelty-free and the Velour liquid lipsticks can be used on both lips and eyes. The first thing I noticed when I opened the tube: the smell. Rootbeer float (as claimed on Jeffree's website) is not a scent for me. The scent disappears as it dries. The doe foot applicator is the perfect size and shape. No lip liners needed!

Bien que je ne sois pas fan de la couleur rose, je trouve que le packaging est très élégant et unique. Le lettrage rose gold et les étoiles avec le bouchon rose flash (throwback au cheveux rose iconic de Jeffree) se démarque dans une collection de maquillage. Aucun des ses produits sont testé sur les animaux et les rouge à lèvres Velours peuvent être utiliser sur les lèvres et yeux. La première chose que j'ai remarqué quand j'ai ouvert le tube: l'odeur. Crème glacé à la rootbeer (tel dit sur le site de Jeffree) n'est pas pour moi. L'odeur s'évapore quand il sèche. L'applicateur doe foot est de la forme et taille parfaite. Pas besoin de crayon à lèvres!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour liquid lipstick in Mannequin

This shade was my first choice when I glanced at the collection. Although I already own a collection of nude lipsticks, I had to get Mannequin. It's the perfect pink-y nude. Not too light nor too pink. It's the perfect nude for a smokey eye or colorful look. Annabelle's lip liner in the shade Buff is a perfect match.

Cette couleur était mon premier choix quand j'ai regardé la collection. Bien que je possède déjà beaucoup de rouge à lèvres nude, je devais avoir Mannequin. C'est le nude rosé parfait. Pas trop pâle, not trop rose. J'adore le porter avec un smokey eye ou un maquillage plus coloré. Le crayon à lèvres Buff d'Annabelle est un match parfait.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Velour liquid lipstick in Celebrity Skin

Alongside Unicorn Blood, Celebrity Skin is one of the cult shades of the brand. It's a soft brown nude with a peachy undertone. On me, it looks more of a darker nude but, oh well! I love wearing this shade with more warm toned, bronze-y looks.

Au côté d'Unicorn Blood, Celebrity Skin est une des teinte culte de la marque. C'est un brun doux nude avec un sous tons pêche. Sur moi, il est plus un nude foncé. J'aime le porté avec des tons chauds ou neutre/bronze-y.

The application is very smooth and opaque with only one coat. I was very impressed. I wore it all day last week and it was still intact when I came home. I still need to try them on the eyes but, there's no doubt I will purchase more shades in the future - talking about you Androgyny , I'm Nude and No Tea, No Shade. Next step, the Skin Frosts and the Androgyny eye shadow palette!

L'application est très lisse et opaque en un passage sur les lèvres. J'était très impressionné. Je l'ai porté toute la journée la semaine passé et mon rouge à lèvres était encore intacte au soir. Je ne les ai pas encore testé sur les yeux mais, je vais sans aucun doute acheter d'autre couleurs - je parle de toi Androgyny, I'm Nude et No Tea, No Shade. Prochaine étape, les Skin Frosts et la palette d'ombre à paupières Androgyny!

Quo's Blending sponge vs Real Techniques's Miracle Complexion sponge

Despite the many cons that come with beauty sponges, they are still a staple in my beauty routine. I remember when the Beauty Blender first came out. Everyone - or so - was raving about this bright pink sponge. I was about to buy it...until I saw the price. Hell no! A few months later, Real Techniques released their Miracle Complexion sponge and then, brands like L'Oréal, Ecothools, L.A. Girl and NYX decided to follow. 

Malgré les nombreux inconvénients qui viennent avec les éponges beauté, elles sont quand même un incontournable dans ma routine maquillage. Je me souviens quand le Beauty Blender a fait son entré. Tous le monde - ou presque - étais fan de cette éponge rose vif. J'ai bien faillit l'acheter...jusqu'à ce que je vois le prix. Hell no! Quelques mois plus tard, Real Techniques ont sortie leur Miracle Complexion sponge et puis, les marques comme L'Oréal, Ecothools, L.A. Girl et NYX ont suivit.

Believe me or not but, still to this day, some people ignore what beauty sponges are and/or how to use them. I've seen so many people using them wrong or mistaking them for a more expensive cosmetic wedges. Let me break it to you: cosmetic wedges and beauty sponges are not the same thing. Beauty sponges are made to be used wet and doesn't soak as much products. They also do a much better job at blending. 'Why a sponge over a brush?' you might ask. I personally think beauty sponges gives more coverage than a brush - ironic given you're diluting your product with water - and, there is no brush lines on your face.

Croyez-moi ou pas mais, à ce jour, il y a encore des gens qui ignore qu'est-ce qu'une éponge beauté at/ou comment l'utiliser. J'ai tellement vu de personnes qui utilisait mal ces éponges or les confondait avec des éponges cosmétiques (celles-ci). Breaking news: les éponges cosmétiques et les éponges beauté ne sont pas la même chose. Les éponges beauty doivent être utiliser humide et n'absorbent pas autant de produits. Elles font aussi une meilleur job pour estomper. 'Pourquoi une éponge beauté plutôt qu'un pinceau?' vous vous demandez. Personnellement, je trouve qu'on obtient plus de couvrance avec une éponge qu'un pinceau - ironic étant donné que le produit est dilué avec de l'eau - et, il n'y a pas de lignes de pinceau.

Out of all the new drugstore beauty sponges, I choose to talk about and compare Quo's blending sponge and the infamous Miracle Complexion sponge by Real Techniques. The latter has been the star of many videos and blogpost in the past but, I still chose to talk about it. They are approximately the same size - wet or dry. They both bave a more pointed tip and a more flat bottom.

De tous les nouvelle éponges de pharmacie, j'ai choisis de comparer celle de Quo et la fameuse Miracle Complexion de Real Techniques. Cette dernière a été la star de plusieurs videos and articles dans le passé mais je choisis tout-de-même d'en parler. Elles sont approximativement de la même taille - humide ou sèche. Au premier regard, leur forme et couleur les différence l'une de l'autre. Elles ont tout les deux un côté plus pointu et un autre côté plat.

Blending sponge by Quo

The Quo sponge is bright purple and pear shaped with a slightly pointed tip. It has a more firm material which makes it more tear resistant. Once wet, the sponge is very bouncy and soft. I've  been using this sponge for about a year now and I've noticed it doesn't soak up a lot of products and blends everything very easily. It's the best sponge to blend cream contour and leaves no harsh lines at all. I even use it to bake! I have only great things to say about this sponge. And, it's affordable. The only down side is that because the material is more firm, it's difficult to reach and blend the concealer in the inner corner of the eye.

L'éponge Quo est violette et en forme de poire avec un bout un peu pointu. Elle est faite de materiel plus ferme, ce qui la rend plus résistante au déchirures. Une fois humide, l'éponge est très rebondissante et douce. J'utilise cette éponge depuis un an maintenant et j'ai remarquée qu'elle n'absorbe pas beaucoup de produits et blend très facilement. C'est la meilleure éponge pour estomper le contouring et ne laisse pas du tout de démarcations. Je l'utilise même pour faire du baking! Et, elle est abordable! Le seul bémol est que, puisque le matériel est plus ferme, c'est difficile d'atteindre et estomper le cache-cernes au coin interne de l'oeil.

Miracle Complexion sponge by Real Techniques

Real Technique's Miracle Complexion sponge is neon orange. Difficult to loose in your makeup bag! Its material is a lot squish-y than the Quo one when wet...and also easier to tear. I've been trough so much of these sponges because of how soft and fragile it is. Although I've been using it a lot those past weeks, I have a love-hate relationship with this sponge. I love it for some thing...and other not so much. It gives really good coverage but, don't use the flat side to apply your foundation, it'll soak all the product and won't blend well. Use the round sides instead, it works much better. I also noticed that it doesn't work well with powders and baking (it crumbles when you pick up powders). 

L'éponge Miracle Complexion de Real Techniques est orange neon. Difficile à perdre dans sa trousse de maquillage! Son matériel est beaucoup plus squish-y que celle de Quo quand elle est humide...et aussi plus facile à déchirer. J'ai passé à travers une quantité de ces éponges car elle est si fragile. Bien que j'ai beaucoup utilisé cette éponge dans les semaines précédentes, j'ai une love-hate relations avec cette éponge. Je l'aime bien pour certaine choses...et pour d'autres pas tellement. Elle donne un finit très couvrant mais, ne l'utilise pas du côté plat pour appliquer ton fond de teint, elle va tout absorber le produit et n'estompera pas bien. Utilise plutôt les côtés courbés, ils fonctionnent beaucoup mieux. J'ai aussi remarqué qu'elle ne fonctionne pas bien avec les poutres et le baking (elle s'effrite).

Fit me loose powder by Maybelline

Fit Me loose powder by Maybelline

Once again, Maybelline expanded their Fit Me line and launched loose powders. The packaging is sleek and square shaped, just like the rest of the line. The powders are mineral-based and are designed to help control shine and smooth skin’s texture with a hint of color. They come in eight shades and, no surprise here, I have it in the lightest shade (05 Fair)! Warning, the numbers of the shades don't match the foundations/concealers which I found a bit odd given the purpose of this line is to make it easy to match yourself at the drugstore. 

Encore une fois, Maybelline ont expansé leur gamme Fit Me avec ces nouvelles poudres libre. L'emballage est élégant et carré, tout comme le reste de la gamme. Les poudres sont à base de minéraux et sa formule est conçue pour matifier le teint et lisser la peau tout en la rehaussant d’une teinte subtile. Ils sont disponibles en huit teintes et, sans surprise ici, je l'ai dans la teinte la plus claire (05 Clair)! Attention, les numéros des teintes ne match pas les fonds de teints/cache cernes de la même gamme, ce que je trouve bizarre car le but de la gamme Fit Me est de faciliter la tâche de se matcher en pharmacie.

Fit Me loose powder by Maybelline

The first thing I noticed with this powder is that the packaging is a lot less messy than most loose powders I've tried; not a lot of powder comes out of the holes when you shake it but it isn't an issue for me. I love using it under my eyes to set my concealer and also bake there, it makes it very smooth and adds a bit of coverage. For my face, I prefer to use a translucent powder to not mess with my foundation or cream contour - on rare occasion. 

La première chose que j'ai remarqué avec cette poudre est que l'emballage fait beaucoup moins de dégât que lest autres poudres libres que j'ai essayer; pas beaucoup de poudre sort des trous quand tu la shake mais ce n'est pas un problème pour moi. J'adore l'utiliser sous mes yeux pour fixer mon cache cernes et aussi pour faire du baking, elle rends ma peau très lisse et ajoute un peu de couvrance. Pour mon visage, je préfère une poudre translucide pour ne pas changer la couleur de mon fond de teint our contouring crème - en rares occasions.

Last year, NYX launched a collection of nude liquid lipsticks called Lingerie. The concept behind the collection is that there is a nude shade for everyone, light to dark complexion. Personally, I think this is awesome because some skin tones have difficulty finding a nude shade that suit them. Although every nude shades is made to fit one skin tone, it doesn't mean the other shades won't suit you. The shades are all very pretty and goes from grey tones to muted purples and chocolates. They recently updates the collection and released another twelve shades and I cannot wait to get my hands on them.

L'an dernier, NYX ont lancé une collection de rouge à lèvres liquide nude appeler Lingerie. Le concept derrière cette collection est qu'il y ait une teinte nude pour tous le monde, teints pâle à foncé. Personnellement, je pense que c'est merveilleux parce que quelque teints ont de la difficulté à trouver une teinte nude qui leur convient parfaitement. Bien que chaque nude est fait pour un certain teint, ça ne veux pas dire que les autres teintes ne vont pas vous aller. Les couleurs sont toutes très jolies et vont des tons gris au mauves et meme chocolats. Ils ont récemment relancer douze autres nuances et j'ai hâte de me les procurer.

The packaging reminds me a bit of the Kylie Cosmetic ones with its clear bottom, black cap and lettering. The Lingerie's applicator is a doe foot and is quite rigid yet, still bend-y. Compared to their Soft matte lip creams, the doe foot is longer and thinner. The shape is perfect to reach the cupid's bow and make crisp lines. 

L'emballage me fait penser à ceux de Kylie Cosmetics avec leur tube transparent, bouchon et lettrage noir. L'applicateur des Lingerie est un doe foot assez rigide mais, quand meme pliable. Comparé à leur Soft Matte lip creams, le doe foot est plus long et mince. La forme est parfaite pour atteinte la lèvre supérieur et faire de belles lignes droites.

Push Up is a brown spice pink. Out of the four shades I own, this one if my favorite. I've worn is so much. It's MY shade. It goes with every looks and is perfect for every day. NYX's retractable lip liner in Nude is a perfect match.

Push Up est un rose-brun épicé. De tous les teintes que je possède, celle-ci est ma favorite. Je l'ai tellement porter. C'est MA couleur. Elle va avec tout les look et est parfaite pour tous les jours. Le crayon à lèvres retractable de NYX dans la couleur Nude est un match parfait.

NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in Bedtime Flirt

Bedtime Flirt is a red tone pink. Another every day shade. I recently got this one but, I can already tell it's gonna get in my top five. It surprisingly pairs well with blue eye looks. Annabelle's lip liner in Buff is a perfect match.

Bedtime Flirt est un rose avec un ton rouge. Une autre teinte de tous les jours. J'ai eu celle-ci récemment mais, je peux déjà dire qu'elle va se hisser dans mon top cinq. Elle se paire étonnamment bien avec un maquillage bleu au niveau des yeux. Le crayon à lèvres d'Annabelle dans la teinte Buff est un match parfait.

NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in Embellishment

Embellishment is a muted purple. It's rare to find shades like this at the drugstore, I made sure to grab one. This one isn't as nude as the other shades but, it's still wearable. I used to wear this all the time when I had my brown hair but not so much since I dyed them red.

Embellishment est un muted mauve. C'est rare de trouver une couleur comme celle-ci à la pharmacie, j'ai fait sure d'en prendre un tube. Cette couleur n'est pas aussi nude que les autre teintes mais, elle est tout de même portable. Je la portais tous le temps quand j'avais les cheveux bruns mais plus autant maintenant que je les ai teint en rouge.

Ruffle Trim is a cinnamon pink. This shade looks really good on olive skin tones. Annabelle's lip liner in Spice is a perfect match.

The formula is quite mousse-y and thin but still very pigmented. I have to say the shade Ruffle Trim was a bit more runny and lacked in pigment compared to others but it's nothing you can't fix with a second coat. They have no scent which is a good thing. Scented products tends to stay in my drawers because they give me headaches sometimes - can't stand the Soft Matte lip creams from NYX's cake batter scent. They dry completely matte and stays on for very long. I've worn them from 8am to 9pm and they stayed pretty much the same as when I put it on in the morning. I was impressed. These are by far the best liquid lipstick from the drugstore that I've tried. Make sure you have a good makeup remover if you're planning to get these because they take some work to remove.

La formule est assez mousseuse et mince mais quand même pigmenter. Je doit dire que la couleur Ruffle Trim est un peux plus liquide et inconsistante en matière de pigment comparé aux autres mais c'est rien qui ne se fix pas avec une deuxième couche. Ils ont tous aucune odeur, ce qui est une bonne chose. Les produits qui ont une forte odeur ont tendance à rester dans mes tiroirs car ils me donnent parfois des maux de tête - je ne peux pas porter les Soft Matte lip creams de NYX due à leur odeur de pâte à gâteaux. Ils sèchent tous complètement matte et sont de très longue durée sur les lèvres. Je les ai porter de 8am à 9pm et ils n'ont pas bouger ou craquer. J'étais impressionné. Ils sont de loin les meilleur rouge à lèvres de la pharmacie que j'ai essayer. Faite sure que vous avez un bon démaquillants si vous planifier d'en acheter car ils sont difficile à retirer.

Pure-Clay masks by L'Oréal

Face Masks? If you would've ask me about face masks last year, I would've said they weren't part of my routine and that I don't use them too often - aka once every month. Crazy, uh? I never saw a difference on my skin whenever I used them and thought they weren't doing anything - except loosing my time as I waited for them to dry. Maybe I wasn't using the right ones because a year has passed and I don't think I could ever go back to skipping on them. Face masks aren't very abondant at the drugstore so I was pretty pleased to see L'Oréal come out with three new face masks made of three pure clay. We've seen these three jars everywhere over the past months! On Instagram, YouTube, blogs...it was a big launch for the brand in 2016 - ironic as I'm reviewing them in 2017. Why am I always late on the boat? 

You can use these masks on solo or combine them. There's this new trend in the beauty industry called multi-masking. I first heard model and owner/founder of the brand Kora, Miranda Kerr, talk about this method. Why applying the same mask all over your skin when, most of the time, it doesn't have the same needs on your chin, T-zone or cheeks? It doesn't makes sense. That's where multi-masking comes in! By example, my chin gets really dehydrated at times. My nose and forehead are oily and my pores are also more dilated in that area. Why not mix and match for a better effect? I only got two of the three new masks, not too interested by the light green one - made to purify and mattify.

Pure-Clay Detox & Brighten treatment mask by L'Oréal

Dear charcoal masks, when will you make less of a mess? This one is to illuminate your complexion. Although it leaves a mess behind, the charcoal helps detox your skin from the impurities and pollution - perfect if you live in the city! I've had this one for the longest - over a month, I'd say - and I can say that I love it. My skin felt refreshed and well cleansed after every use - detox effect approved! The brightening effect left me surprised as it was able to brighten my already fair complexion. What? I was impressed.

Pure-Clay Exfoliate & Refining treatment mask by L'Oréal

This one should exfoliate and makes your skin feel like velvet (according to what I read online!). The texture is thick and has small grains that feels a lot like sand in it which exfoliate the skin. The scent of this one is very perfumed, floral and citrus-y, although I'm not great at describing smells - thanks for the help, mom! After the first use, I saw result. My pores were definitely smaller and my skin felt really soft. You have to activate the masks by massaging it with water before fully rinsing off to get the full effect.

Love contours all palette by NYX

Finding the new NYX holiday sets in stores was a struggle. There's not a lot of NYX counters/displays where I live and they are very small. I was surprised to see this palette on display a few weeks ago. I had only seen the Wanderlust lips+eyes in the new products section online and saw no one talking about this one which was odd because whenever a new palette hits the market, bloggers and beauty vloggers makes sure to get their hands on it. The Love contours all palette contains nine eye shadows, two brow powders (a light taupe and a darker brown), two contour shades/bronzers and two highlighters. The eye shadows are what caught my eyes first. It's difficult to find shades that aren't browns and/or other neutrals at the drugstore. That's a reason I love NYX, they have a wide range of shades and are great quality. This palette has a great balance of warm tones - my faves - and cool tones.

My first thoughts when I swatched them was: NYX changed their formula. These are more buttery and soft than their previous shadows - not hating on NYX! The texture reminded me of their prismatic shadows, which I love. The shimmer shades works best when wet but that's not an issue for me; I wet my shadows most of the time. I was very surprised by the highlighters, I don't own a lot - only three - so I was happy to have two in that palette. They're well pigmented and not too glittery. I can't use the gold one on its own but, I mix it with the pinky shade and it makes a beautiful rose-gold color that works perfect for my skintone. They're not too intense nor settle, they give the perfect amount of glow. The light bronzer (on the left) is perfect for contouring with warm colors. You don't have to use cool tones, warm tones can work too depending on the color or the bronzer and your complexion. It's not orange while still pulling on the warm side. For the eyebrows shades, I use them as eye shadows. The texture is the exact same so it doesn't matter. I prefer pomades for my eyebrows, powder is too natural for me - I'm so extra. I've been using this palette everyday since I got it, you can do a lot of different looks with it. Grab it when you see it!

The Loaded Bolds lipsticks and Master Strobing Stick by Maybelline

For the ones who know me, you know that whenever Maybelline puts out new products, I'm the first in line to get them! They rarely disappoint me and their price range is fairly abordable. This fall, I got my hand on two of their new launches: The Loaded Bolds lipsticks and the Master Strobing Stick. I was very excited to try these new releases after seeing them on Maybelline's Snapchat at their end of summer event - the one where everyone got to take a selfie with Gigi Hadid.

Pour celles qui me connaissent, vous savez que quand Maybelline sort un nouveau produit, je suis la premiere en ligne pour l'acheter! Ils me déçoivent rarement et leur gamme de prix est assez abordable. Cet automne, j'ai mis la main sur deux de leur nouveau produits: les rouge a lèvres Loaded Bolds et l'illuminateur en bâton Master Strobing. J'avais très hâte d'essayer ces nouveau produits après les avoir vu sur le Snapchat de Maybelline a leur événement à la fin de l'été - celui avec qui tous le monde ont pris une selfie avec Gigi Hadid.

Out of all the drugstore lipsticks out there, Maybelline's are my favorites. Their matte formula is bomb. This new range, the Loaded bolds, is their latest addition to their Color sensational lipstick line. They are offered in 20 shades inspired from today's actual beauty trends. There's one for everyone: electric pinks, rich mauves, deep berries/reds and even a black and a navy blue shade. Crazy things happening at the drugstore, huh? Although I loved the Creamy matte's formula, this one isn't the same. Firstly, I wouldn't say they are matte; they have more of a satin finish. They are creamier and also more slippery - aka easy to get on your teeth. You definitely need to use a lip liner underneath or it'll bleed around your lips. The formula isn't consistant with all the shades. By example, the white shade is super patchy and some the shades lack in opacity. My favorite is Mauve it, a pretty mauve (duh) shade. Despite those small cons, I still like these lipsticks and think they are worth it if you wants trendy shades but on a budget or doesn't want to pay twenty dollars for a trendy shade.

De tous les rouge a lèvres de pharmacie, ceux de Maybelline sont mes préférés. Leur formule matte est excellente. Leur nouvelle collection, les Loaded Bolds, est leur dernière addition à leur ligne Color Sensational. Ils sont offert en 20 nuances inspirés des tendances beauté actuelle. Il y en a un pour tous le monde: roses électrique, mauves, baies/rouges profond et meme un noir et un bleu marin. Que ce passe t-il à la pharmacie? Bien que j'aimais la formule des Creamy Mattes, celle-ci n'est pas la meme. Premièrement, je ne dirais pas qu'ils sont mat; ils ont plus un finit satiné. Ils son plus crémeux et plus glissant - aka facile à en avoir sur les dents. Tu doit utiliser un crayon à lèvres dessous ou ils vont s'étaler en dehors de vos lèvres. La formule n'est pas constante avec toute les nuances. Par example, le blanc est très inégal et certaine nuances manque d'opacité. Ma préférée est probablement Mauve It, une jolie teinte mauve (duh). Malgré ces petit bémols, j'aimes bien ces rouge à lèvres et pense qu'ils en valent la peine si vous aimez les nuances tendances mais sur un budget ou ne veux pas dépenser 20 dollars pour une couleur tendance.

Master Strobing Stick in the shade Light/Iridescent

You can laugh at me, I've only recently started using highlighters... What? Shocking, right? I'm always skeptical when it comes to cream products (bronzers, blushes, etc.) as they looks muddy and moves my foundation. It's not quite the look I'm going for. When I first saw this at the store, I was hesitant. Luckily for me, there was a tester - very rare with drugstore products - and wow, I was impressed. The packaging it identical to the brand's Master Glaze cream blushes that I really like. Just like the blushes, the strobing stick is super easy to blend and smooth. This shade is the lightest; a rose-y shade, super luminous. It contains micro-glitters but that doesn't bother me as it's not too noticeable. The only hic I have with this product is that it rubs off the foundation on my face - wherever I apply it - so you have to be gentle when applying.

Vous pouvez rire de moi, je viens juste de commencer à utiliser des illuminateur... Quoi? Étonnant, uh? Je suis toujours septique avec les produit en crème (bronzers, blush, etc.) car ils ont l'air muddy et bouge mon fond de teint. C'est pas vraiment le look que je recherche. Quand j'ai vu ceci à la pharmacie, j'était hésitante. Heureusement pour moi, il y avait un testeur - très rare avec les produits de pharmacie - et wow, j'était impressionnée. L'emballage est pareille aux blush en crème Master Glaze que j'adore. Tout comme les blush, l'illuminateur en bâton est très facile a estomper et lisse. Cette teinte est la plus pâle; une teinte un peux rosé, très lumineuse. Il contient des micro-brillants mais ça ne me dérange pas car ils ne sont pas très voyant. Le seul hic que j'ai avec ce produit est qu'il retire le fond de teint de mon visage - quand je l'applique - donc tu doit être très délicat quand tu l'applique.
